What I'd do for Creme Bru Lee

I'm still basking in the afterglow of my giveaway. For a little sanguine soul like me, getting scads more comments than normal makes me want to have a giveaway nearly everyday! If I must dip into the children's college funds to make appealing gifts available to lure my readers out of their dark reading closets, well... so be it. No doubt they'll understand that the value of keeping their mother sane and happy during their early childhood years, far outweigh their need for a lower-cost secondary education.

I would like to now tell you what lengths I would go for the product showcased below:

For the past several years Fat Free French Vanilla has been my loyal creamy companion to my morning coffee. Special Edition Holiday flavors never tried to catch my eye. They could sense I was a resistant 'special occasion creamer' flirt, if not a complete fuddy duddy. They watched how time after time I'd reach for the familiar "big blue". I was fiercly committed to my Frenchie.

But then came Mr. Creme Bru Lee, strutting out into the grocery mart scene, shameless in his advances. I took a second look. And a third. It only took one outreached hand and one timid sip to decimate years worth of a happy consumer/creamer relationship. In the sip of a swallow, Frenchie became a second choice.

I fell in love.

Apparently, so has everyone else in my corner of the world. Coffee Mate's Creme Brulee is so coveted, it is simply not uncommon to find only the bar code sticker at the end of it's empty runway in the dairy aisle. But last Sunday, I did not let that stop me. Nor did I give nary a flinch when it's 'runway' at this particular super Wal-Mart was located at the rock bottom shelf behind the glass cooler door. I was not going to give up so easily. Don't think you can outwit me, Wal-Mart Dairy Food Stocker!!!! You're messing with the wrong woman! I was in Mr. Lindsay's gymnastics class in 1st grade, and you would do well to remember it!

If you would have found yourself at the Ephrata Wal-Mart late Sunday afternoon, you would have seen a mid-sized woman nearly laying prostrate on the floor, mid-waist deep into the freezer, arm stretched to it's maximum length, desperately reaching for the last two vats of heavenly goodness, so far back in their 'shute' that they were nearly on the floor of the walk in freezer behind it.

I'm happy to report that I crawled out victorious!!!

It's that good? you wonder. Yes, my friend, it is. You would do well to get in your car, drive to your nearest food store and pray that Mr. Bru Lee has a place at your local grocery store. It will be the beginning of a long and lasting relationship. Trust me.

Found you on my friend Joyce's page. That was a funny picture of what one will do for creamer!

Coffee is not coffee without Coffee Mate! That's for sure!
And to think that you actually gave me one of your incredible finds. Before you gave me one of yours, I had been to three grocery stores and not one of them had it. What a sacrificial share you made with me. I do, yes I really do I wish I would have been at that Walmart when you were on the floor.

Love you!

Jeane! You are SOO funny!!!! You could write a book--seriously! You have the ability to make the mundane events of life so entertaining! Not to mention that you are--with God's strength--mastering this season of motherhood with such grace it could make Michelle Duggar herself wonder how you do it?!
Oh and you didn't really intend to invite us all out to Walmart to purchase your coveted (ooh, that sounds sinful, change that to "desired") dairy product, did you?!? Maybe one sip and we'd be cat-fighting--or all sprawled out on the floor searching for the last one?!?! LOL! Now that's a mental picture!! :)
Enjoy your day...and your creamer! :)

Ok...so now I am tempted...LOL. If you would be willing to go to those lengths...it has to be wonderful. Creme Brulee is my favorite dessert...I had no idea that this cream existed...but you better believe the next time I am at my Super Walmart...I'll be looking for it.

Thanks for sharing.

Too funny....I do the same thing for the Cinnamon Bun flavor...it's really good too and it seems to be the one that is elusive to find also at times and not everyone carries it.

Yum!!! Coffee never tasted better...
