200th Post GIVEAWAY

It is here.

The blessed event.

200 Posts, after wading around this medium for nearly 4 years. Clearly I have not been religious about posting daily and at times, even monthly. Lately, I've learned to enjoy it even more, carving out time at the end of the day to keep up with it when I can.

I started it partially for me (writing is a creative outlet ) and then as a way to post pictures for my out-of-state sister. It still surprises me when I hear of someone reading it or receive a comment from someone other than my mom or sister! And so...

I thank you!

...For being kind enough to drop by the Coffee Cottage and, in doing so, caring about me!

The giveaways...these are a few of my favorite things:

A colorful vintage print.

Feminity.

Handwritten correspondence.

Fresh new, colorful pens in which to cristen a new address book or stationary.

International Coffee's Cappucuino Coolers (my favorite mid-day treat!)

*A marvelous opportunity to babysit my children for 3 full days.

and perhaps a little surprise tucked in to be revealed upon opening

*Just kidding. Really.

Vintagy-Feminine-Fresh-Cool-Little-Something-New
Giveaway #1

(Cath Kidston is simply a brand of vintage, homespun loveliness. A favorite of mine. Above is her stationary and below, a charming little address book you'll want to leave out on your desk).

Vintagey-Feminine-Fresh-Cool-Little-Something-New
Giveaway #2

All you have to do in order to win is

1. Leave a comment. Either here or if you do not care to sign with Google, email me at jnicolemiller@hotmail.com by days end.

2. In that comment, tell me at least one of your simple favorite things. I'd love to hear!

3. Do this by the end of today...and I'll throw the names in my big coffee cup and yours could be one of the two I pick out!

If you hesitate doing this because you've always meant to leave a comment, and feel bad only leaving one now that there is a possible (albeit humble) surprise if you do so...I have 3 little words for you:

DO. IT. ANYWAY. (You'll be making my day! And who wouldn't want to do that??!!)

Look for your name in tomorrow's posting and again, THANK YOU for any time that you have given to share my life with me through the time spent in my virtual Coffee Cottage.

Well I love your blog. I get very excited whenever I see you have a new post up. The Clifford cereal conspiracy has me cracking up. And if I win, please give it to Judy. :)

Congrats Jeane' on 200 posts! Even though I don't comment regularly, I defiantly check it regularly!
Some of my favorite things:
-Coffee, especially when it is still hot.
-When my daughter smiles at me so big I can see all of her crooked teeth.
-An afternoon baking something sweet.
-5:30 when my husband walks through the door and gives me a hug.

Thanks for all the times you made me smile while visiting your blog!

I'm so glad I found your little Cottage. It's always warm, refreshing, lovely and fun. Congrats on 200 posts...and getting comments from non-family members. That truly is an exciting event!

Here are a few of my favorite things:
* Bookstores - all the endless possibilities.
* Anthropologie - all of their home stuff - kitchen fabrics, bedroom decor, door handles...it's very shabby chic and full of vintage-awesomeness.
* A good cup of steaming strong espresso
* My husband. He's the greatest man in the whole wide world ;)
Jeane', 200 posts!!!! Wow!!! That is a great accomplishment and how neat that you are giving away such fun prizes!! It is always such a fun thing to get on and see what is happening that week in your life and in the lives of your dear children. :)
Simple things that I love...hmmm...that is tough, bc there are so many.
-Sitting in a comfy chair on the beach, where the water can come up onto my toes and where I can waste away hours reading a novel I can't put down (Does this have to be something that I have done in the past 2 years?) haha.
-I love seeing 2 feet of snow out my window and sipping hot chocolate as I look at my disatrous house that the girls have torn apart.
-I do echo some of the other comments, that I love when 6:30 comes around and Chad comes through the door-so glad to have him home! As are the girls
-I love having a sparkling clean home (That also hasn't happened for awhile)
-I love going into Riley and Sophie's room in the morning as they jump up and down and squeal for me to get them out.
-I could go on and on, but I will leave space for your millions of other followers!
Thanks for always sharing from your coffee cottage.
Love you,
Linds

A glass of wine and some conversation (uninterupted by children) with my husband. This is one of my favorite things that usually can only take place close to midnight, but I enjoy it anyway. Congradulations on your 200th post Jeane'!!!!

Hi Jeane,
We met at Jen P.'s house for her pedicure party :)
A few of my favorite things are: The smell of birthday candles right after they're blown out, the questions my 2nd graders ask me ("Who would win...a lion or a tiger? Just wonderin..."), and looking at the snow out the window and being safe and warm inside.

Have a great day!!

Hi Congrats on you 200th blog!!. I love reading your blog. I found you through your moms blog. You both are a breath of fresh air and I always look forward to your new posts. Some of my favorite things are: Spending time with my kids...becasue they are growing up way to fast! I also love a good cup of coffee with a great friend. What a special giveaway for those of us who appreciate the Vintage touch to everything. I guess I would fit into the vintage category now. I did just receive my AARP card in the mail. It annoyed me. I do not want my name included in your giveaway even though I love the gift.

As for some of my favorite things...
a handsome son-in-law who walks into my house when I am away and fixes both of my computers...then exits without leaving a bill. The best service ever! Yes..I am very well aware that my other handsome son-in-law would long to do the same if he lived closer. I hope everyone is not jealous of my favorite things.

You made it sound like posting 200 times in four years was so inconsequential! (I've never typed that word...had to do a spell check!) Look around you, my friend...listen to the sound in the air...the fact that you have typed more than 20 posts makes you nothing short of super-hero quality! Congrats...every one of them was worth the effort!

My favorite things...

*The RARE nights when all my children are under the same roof (with me)
*A good cup of coffee in a quiet room...while reading a good book
*A good cup of coffee in a noisy room if a friend is nearby
*Anything that even remotely resembles a pinkish hue...no kidding, even my pink dish scrubber makes me smile!
*laughter
OH MY WORD, I WAS JUST ABOUT TO BUY AN ADDRESS BOOK THIS AFTERNOON, BUT ALAS, I WILL WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW EVENING TO DECIDE!!!!

*one of my favorite things to do: I have many, but right up there would be:

*decorating my house
*having friends around my kitchen table
*when my children go to bed right away and i don't have to climb the steps 40 times!

FUN, FUN, FUN, AWESOME GIVEAWAY!!!!

Lol, it's funny how many more comments you get when there is a giveaway! :-) I have commented before, but it has been awhile. I originally found your blog from a comment you left on Resolved2Worship. I have been reading your blog for a year or so and have enjoyed watching your family grow. I like how real and fun you are.
Hmmmm, what's my favorite thing? Naptime? :-) Coffee, photography, when my kids go to bed early and my husband and I get a "date night", my children's voices talking to each other..... I love the stationary and address book they are so happy looking. :-)

Hugs.

What a giveaway! I LOVE coming to your blog...always refreshing, always real, always encouraging, and always makes me smile! Thank you... Simple things I love; an amazing cup of coffee, a great glass of wine, a cuddle with my baby, holding my husbands hand, a long walk...the list could go on and on. (If I win, it goes to Janelle...my husband is English and I have had delivered Cath goods when his family visits!)
200 posts...good for you! Those days do go by don't they?

I hopped over from your mom's blog (which I love) and yours is warm and cozy like hers.

One of my things I love thoe most is when 6 little hands are banging on our front door and noses are pressed to the glass, as they come to visit mimi & poppa!

Blessings!

i've been kind of a "secret" stalker to your mom's site...and yours. i admit it! ;-) i'm bad at commenting...usually because my computer time doesn't allow it. when i'm on the computer, it's usually time enough to just quickly check my email, facebook, and do my own (therapy) blogging.
i LOVE dropping by though! i find you hilarious! you're such a gifted writer!

i hear that you're enjoying your new home thru our mutual friends. :-) SO HAPPY for you! and your twins are just adorable!

heck! i love winning as much as the next guy! so...here goes:

i have alot of simple pleasures...but, right now, i'll say goodwill shopping. for treasures.

BLESSINGS to you! and keep writing!
