Winter Weather and the Making of a Man

Good Morning!!!

Here are a picture of our home in the snow yesterday (and if you look closely, you'll notice a blue pajama clad little guy at the front door. He was in those pajamas from the night before until this morning...it was just one of those days, wasn't it? Don't worry though, I did change his diapers!)

Today is rainy and icy, but just primarily cold and slushy out there. As I mentioned before, we live in an older home, and thus there are issues we sometimes have when there is a large amount of rain in a short amount of time. Thus, this morning we found water in the basement. It wasn't flooded, but we had to address it. As Rick was here and off school today, Curt talked to him on the phone (from work) and instructed him on what needed to be done. Since that call, he been in a frenzy of 'manly' work and I have, without fussing, attempted to affirm his ability and willingness to do the 'man's work' around here. When those words are spoken to a boy or man, they almost take physical form, lifting their shoulders a little higher. It's fun to watch.
This will not be a long entry, as soup is thawing in the microwave and I've got a burly, manly man ready to chow down. :)
I'll be back later....
Stay warm!
